Catholic Week:
St. Brigid's Day,
To start of the week, all the classes were given the opportunity to made the traditional St. Brigid's cross. They were all made from rushes that were hand picked. As the boys were making them, they all learned about St. Brigid and the history of the cross. The boys had great fun and were able to take a cross home. A big thankyou to the group of teachers and pupils that went to each class to help the pupils make the crosses.
Grandparents day, The Grandparents of the pupils were invited into the classes to talk to the pupils. The pupils learned about their lifes and education and it was a very educational experience. We are very grateful to all the grandparents that took the time to come into the school and are delighted with the turnout.
January:
Hats for Haiti: The School decided to hold a fundraiser to aid the victim in Haiti after the devastating earthquake. So the Boys were allowed to wear Hats all day on Tuesday the 26th of January. It was a great day and the boys in the school contributed greatly to the fundraiser. We raised over one thousand euro which all goes to help the people in Haiti. Well done to all the boys and their families. To see some photos from the day, have a look in the gallery.
